1496127 Moistening gas SVENSKA FLAKTFABRIKEN AB 8 March 1976 [11 March 1975] 09212/76 Heading B1R A device for moistening gas comprises a chamber and means for supplying gas to be moistened and water to the chamber, wherein in the chamber is a contact body comprising a plurality of parallel corrugated plates 1 separated by spacers 2, each fold in the plates having a concave valley whose radius of curvature is small enough to allow retention of water therein as a film by capillary action. Preferably the folds are vertical and the gas enters horizontally in direction 3. The plates are wetted from pipes 6.
