Abstract
1495257 Cement raw material slurries IMPERIAL CHEMICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd 9 Jan 1976 [9 Oct 1974] 43676/74 Heading C1H Cement kiln feed slurries are prepared by adding to the feed water containing flocculation ions one or more deflocculating agents to minimize the concentration of flocculating ions therein and thereafter forming the slurry by mixing the deionized water with cement raw materials comprising argillaceous and/or calcareous material. The deflocculating agent may be sodium carbonate and/or sodium silicate. The kiln feed slurry may be a clay/chalk slurry. Foul feed water containing a considerable proportion of flocculating ions may be used.
