Abstract
1494731 Aerating liquids BOC INTERNATIONAL Ltd 12 Dec 1974 [12 Dec 1973] 57468/73 Heading B1C A gas is dispersed in a liquid through at least part of the surface of a propeller having hollow blades 18 of aerofoil cross-section, and the permeable portions having pores which will create bubbles of 0.1mm. diameter or less; they may be of sintered metal or ceramics. The parts 10, 12 may be of aluminium. The flow of liquid is preferably downward and may be enhanced by baffles or ducts. The method and apparatus are useful in fish farming and sewage or effluent treatment.
