Abstract

1493830 Valves TEXAS INSTRUMENTS Inc 18 Dec 1974 [26 Dec 1973] 54734/74 Heading F2V A thermosensitive valve for use in a coffeemaking machine has a bi-metallic disc closure member 13 which seats on an 0-ring 11. A spring arm 15 stamped out of a retaining disc 13 biases the disc 13 towards the seat. An orifice 43 around the stamped-out part provides for fluid flow through the disc 13 which has a number of peripheral tabs 49 enabling it to be press-fitted within the valve body. The closure disc 13 snaps over from the closed to the open condition, reacting in doing so against an abutment 17 in the housing.
