Abstract

1493819 Data processing XEROX CORP 18 Nov 1974 [26 Dec 1973] 49800/74 Heading G4A The disclosure is identical to that of Specification 1,493,817 but the claims relate to an information processor arranged in response to a single control word and a single clock signal to (a) select two data sources from a plurality of such sources and place data from these sources on separate buses 1, 2; (b) place data derived from the data on either or both of the two buses on to a third bus 3; and (c) select a destination from a plurality of destinations and store the data on the third bus in the selected destination. The data may be transferred from either or both of the first two buses 1, 2 to the third bus 3 through an ALU 44 arranged to perform an arithmetic or logic operation on the data in its passage therethrough. The sources and destinations may include I/O registers 4.
