Abstract

1,143,360. Hybrid computers. ADAGE Inc. 21 Oct., 1966 [22 Oct., 1965], No. 39571/67. Divided out of 1,143,356. Heading G4A. A set of source selection gates SSG0-SSG29 is controlled by a digital source selection code S0-S8 for gating one of a group of sets of input terminals MD[0-29], S1[0-29] . . . S8[0- 29] to a set of rotation control gates RCG0- RCG29 controlled by a rotation code R0-R3 for gating the inputs of RCG to the outputs in an order determined by the rotation code #R0-#R3, and a set of transfer logic gates TCG0-TCG29 controlled by a transfer code to produce signals on a set of pairs of outputs RE, SE[0-29] which are a logical function, determined by the transfer code, of the signals on the inputs to gates TCG. Gates RCG, comprise gates 405, 407, 413, 415 selectively enabled by the rotation code to rotate the 30 input bits cyclically by 0, 1, 6 to 15 bits e.g. so that bit 0 appears at output 0, 29 24, or 15. Gates TCG comprise gates 419, 423, 421 enabled by the transfer code to perform the following operations :-T0, logical 1's copied at outputs SE, logical 0's copied at outputs RE. T1, logical 1's copied on SE, logical 0's ignored. T2, logical 1's ignored, logical 0's copied on RE. T3, complementing, i.e. logical 1's copied on RE, logical 0's copied on SE. Outputs SE, RE set and reset flip-flops in a destination register selected by a code D0-D15. The disclosure is identical to that of Specification 1,143,356.
