Abstract

1493665 Tedding and windrowing W REBER 23 Sept 1975 [1 Oct 1974] 38883/75 Heading A1F A machine for tedding and windrowing cut crops has at least two driven rotors 1 each having tool carrier arms 9 pivotably mounted on brackets 5, the brackets being pivotably jointed to a support 7 and to control rods 2 hingeably connected to the rotor driving hub 3. To change from a tedding position, Fig. 1, to a windrowing position, Fig. 2, the support 7, comprising a ring, is lowered and each bracket pivots anticlockwise about both its joints 6, 8 until an abutment 12 rigid with the bracket abuts the lower part of the respective control rod 2. In the tedding position an abutment 15 rigid with each tool carrier and having a cam guide surface 16 and an application surface 26 abuts a stop-piece 13 provided on the leading limb 14 of each control rod 2; the control rod being provided with two limbs between which the bracket 5 is mounted. When the machine is at rest in the windrowing position the tines 10 occupy the position shown in dotted lines Figs. 2, 3, but when the rotor is driven the tines are urged by centrifugal force, against the action of torsion springs, (23) Fig. 7 (not shown) by which the arms 9 are connected to the brackets 5, into their operating position shown in full lines. The control rods are held in their respective operating positions by a locking device 11.
