Abstract

1493446 Web feeding apparatus SIMON CONTAINER MACHINERY Ltd 28 May 1976 [26 June 1975] 27052/75 Heading B8R A web feeding apparatus associated with web slitting and cutting machines (10, 12, Fig. 1, not shown) comprises a plurality of fingers 23 arranged side-by-side for reciprocation between an extended position adjacent a table 20 and retracted position overlying a guide 25 to selectively direct the webs to an upper or lower station 22, 21, respectively. The fingers are reciprocated by pneumatic cylinders 24 prior to the arrival of the leading end of the following web. Selection may be effected by programme control unit acting on selector switches (not shown).
