1492738 Fibres from blended polyolefins SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 4 Dec 1974 [6 Dec 1973] 56577/73 Heading B5B A fibre of 100 denier or less consists of a blend of 70-99À5 wt. per cent polypropylene and 30À0 to 0À5 wt. per cent polybutadiene optionally 1 to 20 wt. per cent, preferably 5 to 15 wt. per cent of an ethylene polymer, in particular high density polyethylene, may be present. The fibres may be made by extruding the blended polymers into a film which is then fibrillated.
