Abstract

1492396 Fertilizer from liquid excreta FARMURA Ltd 29 Aug 1975 [11 June 1974] 25777/74 Heading ClB A mixture of solid and liquid excreta of farm animals filtered through a rotary vacuum filter and then heated to 110‹ C. in a heat exchanger using superheated water at 120‹ C., for use as fertilizer. Purely liquid excreta may be similarly treated, the filtering stage being omitted. The liquid may pass from the heat exchanger to an insulated coil where its temperature is maintained for 10 mins. then through a second heat exchanger in which the incoming liquid is preheated then possibly to a third exchanger for cooling.
