1492354 Toy building elements H A FOLLEY 17 March 1976 [24 March 1975] 10827/76 Heading A6S A toy building element 10 comprises a rectangular hollow body whose upper face 16 includes flanged connecting studs 18, 22, respectively projecting upwardly and downwardly, the bottom face 26 of the body being open. When two elements 10 are interlocked one downwardly projecting stud 22 rests between four adjacent upwardly projecting studs 18 on the other element, the wedgeshaped flange 24 of the stud 22 and those 20 of the studs 18 mutually engaging behind each other. The elements 10 are of a flexible plastics material. The height of the sides and ends 12, 14 of the element 10 is less than or equal to the sum of the heights of the studs 18, 22 plus the thickness of the top face 16. Stiffening members 38 join alternate ones of the downwardly projecting studs 22 to each of the sides 12.
