Abstract

1491221 Grill burners TI DOMESTIC APPLIANCES Ltd 23 Jan 1975 [29 Jan 1974] 04152/74 Heading F4T A burner for a gas fire or grill comprises an elongate body having crimped sections 10 and 11 and a central section 1 which defines with the sections 10 and 11 two sets of flame ports along the length of the burner, each set having its own fuel supply. One set may have ports of different size and frequency to the other set or a set may comprise a single slot-shaped port. Independent control of fuel to the two sets can thus provide a large range in heat output over a fixed area of fret. The burner is also provided with one or two plates 7 which define with the central section at least one set of flame retention ports 6. A further embodiment has two sets of flame ports on either side of the burner.
