Abstract

1490378 Cleaning vehicle lamps FIAT SpA 17 Oct 1975 [30 Oct 1974] 42781/75 Heading A4F The diffuser 26 of a lighting or signalling lamp of a vehicle is cleaned by a wiper, driven by a drive device such as motor 28 within the lamp, and washing liquid fed through a tube 14 extending alongside the drive device through the lamp, projecting from the diffuser and shaped to project liquid on to the diffuser. As shown the electric motor 28 drives the wiper blade 48 via a reduction gearbox 34, the wiper arm 46 being mounted on a rotating casing 50 of the gearbox and being shaped to clear the outlet end of the tube 14. The diffuser may be concave, flat or convex, the shape of the wiper blade 48 being complementary. United Kingdom Specification Nos. 1368056 and 1490379 are referred to.
