Abstract

1360513 Cleaning headlamp glasses H G LINDEROTH 28 Oct 1971 [30 Oct 1970] 50119/71 Heading A4F A wiper assembly for a vehicle headlamp glass 2 comprises a wiper blade 7 extending diametrically across and carried by a gear ring 4 mounted rotatably in an annular frame 3 and supported by circumferentially spaced idler gear wheels 5, 5', 5" Fig. 2, (not shown), meshing therewith, the ring 4 being driven by a gear wheel 6 so that the wiper blade 7 rotates in engagement with the glass 2. Cleaning liquid may be supplied continuously or intermittently to the glass 2 through a nozzle 10 by a pump which may be driven by an electric motor which also drives the gear wheel 6. The blade 7 may be reinforced by an embedded spiral or other spring and have a central depression 7a engaging a protuberance 2a at the centre of the glass 2.
