1490298 Testing automatic exchanges STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 19 Aug 1975 34416/75 Heading H4K An automatic exchange, e.g. of the TXE4 type, whose control includes a plurality of program-controlled processors, is tested with aid of a test program which is stored in a program store of one of the processors. The program causes a plurality of paths through part at least of the switching network of the exchange to be set up and then causes one or more tests to be performed on each path to ascertain if it has been set up correctly. If it has not been set up correctly, a print-out indicating the details of the faulty path is effected. The testing is carried out during installation of the exchange.
