Abstract

1489439 Lipstick cases VCA CORP 31 Jan 1975 [4 Feb 1974] 4379/75 Heading B8P A dispensing container for a cosmetic stick comprises a cylindrical casing 12 having a top opening 14 bounded by concave and convex rim portions, a wafer-like closure 28 for the opening, a flexible push-pull strap 20 carrying a finger piece 48 and connecting the closure 28 to a holder 16 for the stick and a tubular member 22 which with the casing 12 forms a guide for the strap. The cup, strap, finger piece and closure, shown in Fig. 20, may be formed of a resilient plastics. A cap 26 closes the lower end of the container and has a concave inner surface co-operating with a guide portion 24 of the member 22 to form the lower part of the guide for the strap 20. The tubular member 22 carries ribs 70, 72 forming the edges of the strap guide and has further ribs to locate it in the casing 12 and to prevent relative rotation therebetween. The holder is fitted with the material forming the stick after the various parts have been finally assembled in the casing. A hole is provided in the base 26, in an enlargement 110 in the strap, and in the base of the holder to enable a filling tube to be inserted through the base and into the holder when the holder has been moved to its extended position.
