Abstract

1489271 Powder metering apparatus DEUTSCHE GOLD - UND SILBER - SCHEIDEANSTALT 9 Jan 1975 [9 Jan 1974] 916/75 Heading B8N An apparatus for ensuring exact filling of a pressing die cavity with powder granules comprises a feed slide 8 movable under a storage container 7 to receive a volume of granules exactly equal to the volume of the die cavity, the feed slide being advancable to a forward position with its powder pocket beyond the die cavity, Fig. 4c. A plate 10, Fig. 5a, may be interposed between the slide 8 and the die to close the slide in the downward direction until the pocket is over the die cavity where the plate is retracted. The powder may be metallic or non-metallic such as ceramics, ferrites, titanates compressed to form wafers for electronic supports, insulation plates, wall or floor tiles.
