Abstract
1489244 Phosphonate esters and their hydrolysates DYNAMIT NOBEL AG 30 Aug 1974 [1 Sept 1973] 08887/77 Divided out of 1489241 Heading C2P The invention comprises phosphonate esters having the general formula wherein R<SP>1</SP> is a C 1 -C 12 alkyl group optionally interrupted by one or more hetero atoms or radicals and optionally containing one or more halogen substituents. They may be obtained by an appropriate method described in parent Specification 1,489,241. An example is given for the production of a compound of Formula III in which each R<SP>1</SP> is ethyl. The products are useful for increasing the resistance to corrosion of metal surfaces and as adhesion promoters between organic materials and metals.
