Abstract

1488653 Recreation apparatus NEWBOURNE WATSON Ltd 16 Aug 1974 [8 June 1973] 27361/73 Heading A6M Recreation apparatus comprises an elongate member 11, which has side walls 13, and is formed with one side defining a slide surface 12 and the other side providing a seat 31 (in Fig. 3) adjacent each end, such that with the member rotatably and rockably mounted upon a central support 40, the device is adaptable for use as a slide Fig. 1 and a see-saw cum roundabout Fig. 3. The apparatus Fig. 3 may incorporate removable castors 32 for ground engagement, and a ladder 15 which is moveable via pivot 16 and sleeve 19 between a stowed position during which the ladder does not project beyond the member, and has uprights 17 received into channels (21) formed by the walls 13 of the member, and a position for use as shown. The main member which is a plastics moulding may, in a further embodiment (not shown) incorporate rungs which are formed integrally with the walls to form a ladder.
