1488531 Testing data processing systems COMPAGNIE INTERNATIONALE POUR L'INFORMATIQUE CII-HONEYWELL BULL 3 Jan 1975 [3 Jan 1974] 327/75 Heading G1U A data processing system of the type in which a plurality of functional units are connected to a common data highway both for putting data on to the highway and for receiving data from the highway under the control of a control unit, is tested by controlling the system, in the following way: (a) first every unit is put into a non-transmitting condition, (b) the first unit is activated to cause it to execute a prestored program and to transmit the results to the control unit where they are compared with the expected results, (c) if the first unit performs in the expected manner it is left in full communication with the data highway and the second unit is tested in a similar way, (d) the above steps are repeated until every unit has been tested.
