Abstract

1488515 Filing boxes TWINLOCK Ltd 3 April 1975 [28 June 1974] 28900/74 Heading B8P A portable filing box comprises a box body 1 and a lid, preferably of moulded plastics, the lid being movable from a closed to an open position by sliding movement across the mouth of the box followed by pivotal movement about the edge of the body 1. Pins 19 on the body 1 preferably engage in channels 22 on the lid, and in closed position, the lid engages below projecting lugs 11 of the body 1, which lugs 11 guide the lid during the initial sliding movement. The body 1 preferably has internal stiffening ribs 15, 16 and support members 17, and the lid has a carrying handle 20. Locking means for the lid comprises a bolt member (29), Figs. 8 and 9 (not shown), urged into locking relationship by a spring (30) and releasable by means of a key.
