Abstract

1487528 Granulated welding flux LA SOUDURE ELECTRIQUE AUTOGENE PROCEDES ARCOS SA 16 July 1976 [30 July 1975] 29737/76 Heading C7M A granular submerged arc welding flux agglomerated with hydrated alkali metal silicate and fired at 500-1000‹C contains in wt. per cent 23À8- 65À07 MgO, 21À7-27À8 CaF 2 , 10À8-19À8 Al 2 O 3 , corundum or bauxite, 0À27-1À6 Fe Si (90%), 1À08- 4 FeMn and 1À08-4À8 CaCO 3 . The flux may also contain up to 7À9% calcium silicate, up to 7À9% quartz and up to 2À4% FeMo (65-75%Mo). For agglomerating, 130-200g Na 2 SiO 3 per Kg of flux powder is used.
