Abstract

1487084 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems KAYABAKOGYO KK 25 Nov 1974 [26 Nov 1973] 51027/74 Heading G3P [Also in Division F2] A fluid-flow control valve of similar design to the valve disclosed in Specification 1421184 and used in similar applications, has its spool member divided into two independently movable parts 53, 54. The first part 53 is lifted in response to a pressure differential created across orifice member 74 when solenoid valve 82 is positioned as shown to allow the flow of pilot fluid through pilot passage 76, whereby it connects inlet 47 directly with no-load outlet 28. Switching of valve 82 causes termination of the pilot flow with consequent return of the first part 53 to its lower position whereafter the inlet fluid-pressure forces the second part 54 downwardly to connect the inlet 47 directly with load-outlet 78. If then the pressure of the load-outlet side rises above a set pressure a relief valve 81 will open and permit pilot fluid to flow once again through passage 76, whereby the first part 53 starts to move upwardly and thus keeps the load-outlet pressure the same as the set pressure. The valve housing is provided with two chambers for respective spool members. The second chamber may be blanked off by a plug 17 as shown or it may contain a divided spool valvemember or a single spool valve-member of conventional design. The second spool valve-member is associated with a respective pilot flow passage and may be associated with an independent relief valve.
