1487069 Agricultural implements G M BYRD and G J BYRD 23 May 1975 [29 May 1974] 23731/74 Heading A1B An earth moving tool, which comprises an elongate tool blade to which are secured a tool point at the bottom end and a wear member on a forward edge, is attachable to a substantially horizontal frame 1 of an agricultural implement by attachment plates 12 which co-operate with the tool blade so that the wear member is capable of forming a rearward angle, during use of the tool, from the top to the bottom of the tool, relative to a vertical line normal to the horizontal frame. In the embodiment of Fig. 7 the tool blade 9, carrying a tool point 17A and a wear bar 11, is pivoted on a pin passing through aligned holes 15 in the tool blade 9 and attachment plates 12, and mounted at a rearward angle by passing a sheer bolt through the upper hole 23 and aligned holes in the attachment plates. The wear bar 11 may alternatively be mounted at a forward angle by passing the sheer bolt through the lower hole 23. The tool blade 9 may also be provided with two alternative pivot pin holes, Fig. 3 (not shown), to allow the wear bar 11 to assume forward or rearward angles. In a further embodiment, Fig. 9. the wear bar may be mounted on the forward or rear edge of a tool blade 9 which is reversibly mountable on the attachment plates by a pivot pin and sheer bolt through holes 15A, 16A or 15B, 16B respectively.
