Abstract

1486033 Antistatic synthetic resin compositions H W KEENAN 25 Feb 1976 [25 Feb 1975] 7840/75 Headings C3B C3P and C3R [Also in Division E1] A coloured antistatic flooring or coating composition comprises a hardenable synthetic resin composition, a colouring material, and 0À9-10% wt. of C fibres of length # 5 mm. The resin may be a polyepoxide, polyurethane, or unsaturated polyester/styrene. Also present may be a fibrous thixotropic agent, e.g. chrysotile asbestos, a filler, e.g. whiting or chalk; sand; stearyl stearate or paraffin wax; or pine oil. A floor may be made by (1) laying a conventional concrete or cement floor, (2) coating with a primer, (3) applying a pigmented coat of a hardenable synthetic resin composition, optionally incorporating sand, and (4) applying the antistatic composition.
