Abstract

1485474 Timing cooking LICENTIA PATENT VERWALTUNGS GmbH 15 Nov 1974 [15 Nov 1973] 49567/74 Heading A4D [Also in Division A2] A timing apparatus for roasting meat enables the meat to be roasted for a constant initial period followed by variable period at a lower temperature, followed finally by a completion period. A suitable apparatus comprises a timer 1 with time of day clock 12 and indicator scale 11 to set the weight of the meat, which sets the total cooking time on scale 9, whereby, since the initial and final periods are constant, sets the variable intermediate time dependent on the weight of meat, the temperature during said intermediate time being set on scale 8, depending on the type of meat. In operation the roasting is started manually or automatically using autotimer 5, and after the set initial period the timer reduces the temperature to that set on scale 8, which after further period set by scale 9 switches off the cooker, the roasting continuing for the set final roasting period.
