Abstract

1485276 Rotary fluid-flow meters COMPTEURS SCHLUMBERGER 28 Oct 1974 [29 Oct 1973] 46622/74 Heading FIT A volume flow-rate meter has an annular, or substantially annular, space 4 defined by a wall 1 and rotor 2, which may be revolved by viscous drag, and means for injecting the working fluid into said space such that the resultant torque due to impact of the fluid on the rotor is substantially zero. The said means may be in the form of a fluid inlet duct 5 containing a "tab" 10 for guiding the fluid generally towards the rotor axis 3. Alternatively, the said means may be a plurality of ducts 25', 25", 25''' directing fluid towards the rotor axis. A plug 8 separates the duct 5 from an outlet orifice 7.
