Abstract

1484929 Cooking containers TRANS WORLD SERVICES Inc 24 Oct 1974 [15 Nov 1973] 46148/74 Heading A4D [Also in Division B8] A food package for micro-wave cooking is folded from a blank having a dielectric sheet and a conductive sheet, the conductive sheet shielding those food constituents requiring little cooking while exposing those requiring extensive cooking to the full micro-wave energy. For hamburgers, two roll halves (20), (22), Fig. 3 (not shown), may be placed in the shielded area, while a meat portion (24) is located adjacent an unshielded lid 28 of the package. Alternatively, Fig. 4, a frankfurter 66 may be located adjacent a gap bounded by edges 68 of the conductive sheet, a bun 60 being located within the shielded area. The conductive sheet is preferably of aluminium or tin foil, and the dielectric sheet may be of paper.
