Abstract
1484474 Load transfer apparatus; feeding sheets R MICHNEVIC [trading as RICHARD MICHNEVIC MASCHINENBAU - TRANSPORTANLAGEN] 5 Aug 1974 [4 Aug 1973] 34380/74 Headings B8R and B8L Apparatus for transferring articles such as wood or chipboard panels, one at a time from a stack on a first roller conveyer 12 to a second roller conveyer 13 for delivery to a processing machine, comprises a frame 11 supporting a carriage 23 for reciprocal movement transverse of the conveyers under the action of hydraulic actuators 24. A turntable 27 is suspended from the carriage for movement about a vertical axis through 90 degrees under the action of an hydraulic actuator (28), Fig. 2 (not shown), and a lazy-tongs linkage 16 is suspended from the turntable and in turn supports a beam 19 on which are mounted a series of suction heads 15. An hydraulic actuator 17 is connected to the linkage 16 to effect a raising and lowering of the beam 19 and limit switches 29, 30 control the lateral disposition of the carriage. Photoelectric cells 36 on the beam 19 co-operating with a reflective strip 35 on the frame to control the vertical disposition of the beam 19 and a further photo-electric cell 37 detects the removal of a stack and traverses the carriage to the other supply conveyer 12.
