Abstract
1484215 Electrolytes for primary cells FRANCE ARMED FORCES MINISTER OF 2 Oct 1975 [31 Oct 1974] 38652/75 Heading H1B A primary cell comprises a solid depolarizer a Zn anode 4, and a graphite cathode 1 surrounded by manganese dioxide 2 impregnated with an electrolyte which is an aqueous solution containing lithium chloride and one of the perchlorates of Zn or Mg. The manganese dioxide is separated from the Zn by a paper cylinder 3, and a cardboard disc 5. A top plug 8 of wax or pitch is cast on a washer 6. The manganese dioxide may also contain finely divided carbon and zinc hydroxide.
