1483290 Floating caliper disc brakes; cotters ALFRED TEVES GmbH 10 Dec 1974 [20 Dec 1973] 53359/74 Headings F2E and F2H A relatively slidable caliper 1 and disc brake body 2 are interconnected by two elastic sleeves 9 of generally S-shaped cross-section disposed in facing grooves 7, 8 of the caliper and body. The sleeves are disposed with their flat cross webs 12 directed more in a radial direction to the disc axis than to a normal to this direction and are located in the grooves by pins 16 engaging recesses 17 of the sleeve. Preferably the sleeve is provided with apertures 14 in the angle between the cross web 12 and an outer portion 11 to permit the egress of dirt.
