Abstract

1483287 Inductors SIEMENS AG 29 Oct 1975 [6 Dec 1974] 44537/75 Heading HIT An adjustable inductor has an internally threaded insert 3 of, e.g. synthetic resin in a bore 2 of an, e.g. ferrite core to accept a magnetizable adjusting core (not shown). The insert is moulded in place by injection moulding on to irregularities such as 6 on the bore surface. The irregularities may be projections or recesses or a roughened surface. The insert 3 may contain a filler chosen for its coefficient of expansion, e.g. ferrite-iron carbonyl powder to ensure that shrinkage on cooling after injection moulding is minimized.
