1482596 Selective printing OKI ELECTRIC INDUSTRY CO Ltd 27 July 1974 33268/74 Heading B6F An ink mist printer includes a belt 117 which divides an air flow through holes 123 into a first stream towards a recording surface 107 to prevent the ink mist 106 marking the material in areas where printing is not to be effected and a second stream of width A which is directed away from the surface 107. As a result the ink mist is prevented from marking the edges of the surface 107 when the surface 107 is not as wide as the maximum width surface acceptable by the printer.
