1481611 Moulding coated foamed sheets VITA INTERNATIONAL Ltd 4 Feb 1975 [20 Feb 1974] 7653/74 Heading B5A A sheet 19 of foamed material, e.g. reconstituted polyether foam is moulded by coating the sheet with a thermoplastic powder 20, e.g. polythene, heating the powder to enable it to flow and placing the coated sheet between a pair of formers, e.g. 10, 11. The powder may be heated prior to or during application of the formers. The powder may be cooled and the coated sheet stored, e.g. in roll form, the coated sheet being reheated upon moulding. The coated sheet may be trimmed or cut to shape from a roll prior to moulding. Vehicle flooring, as shown, shock absorbing pads, vehicle headlinings and upholstery pads may be formed.
