Abstract

In the air duct (1, 2), which is entered by operating staff (18) in protective clothing, in addition to filter walls (4) containing activated charcoal there are also arranged filter walls (9) containing exchangeable suspended particle filter cells (10). In the duct side wall (1) are inserted gastightly tubular hatchway ports (12), through which the operator (18) can pass the contaminated filter cells (10) to a person (19) standing on the clean air side. The hatchway ports (12) are furnished on both sides with gastight interlocking doors (14, 15), where one interlocking door can only be opened when the other interlocking door is closed. On the clean air side is provided a multiple-grooved edge ring (16) for the gastight reception of plastic bags (17). The contaminated filter cell is transferred into the plastic bag (17) and is sealed on the clean air side by the operator (19) by welding. The filter cell (10) enclosed in a contamination-free manner can then be taken to the destruction site. <IMAGE>
