1481531 Non skid strip H NAKA 25 June 1974 [6 July 1973 (3) 11 Aug 1973 17 Aug 1973 24 Oct 1973 (2) 19 Feb 1974 (2) 21 Feb 1974 (2) 15 April 1974 (3)] 28223/74 Heading E1B A non skid strip to provide a corner nosing on a stair, floor, ramp, station platform or ship has a longitudinally extending main body portion 130b and a foreward edge anchoring portion 12 spaced by an upwardly arched bendable connecting portion 81a above the upper face of the main body portion and the anchoring portion. A lower layer or wholly enclosed reinforcing strip 121 may be of rigid P.V.C., polyolefin or cellulose plastics, cloth, aluminium, copper, stainless steel or perforated or expanded steel. The strip or its upper portion may be of polyurethane or polyamide and may be multicoloured or fluorescent and have replaceable insert strips. The strip may be fixed to a concrete, wood, stone or steel step by separately applied adhesive or by pressure sensitive adhesive tape incorporated in the strip. The strip is preferably formed by extruding the plastics onto a perforated reinforcing strip. Two separate layers of different plastics may be so extruded.
