1481411 Cardiotonic capsules R P SCHERER Ltd 15 July 1974 [20 July 1973] 34804/73 Heading A5B Soft gelatine capsules contain a liquid cardiotonic composition comprising (a) a cardiac glycoside, (b) ethanol, (c) water, (d) propylene glycol and/or glycerine, and (e) a liquid polyethylene glycol. The glycoside (a) may be digitoxin or digoxin. The capsules may contain 50 to 300 micrograms of cardiac glycoside. The capsules may be compounded so that an accurate dose of the active ingredient is ensured.
