Abstract

1478777 Adjustable fork assembly TOWMOTOR CORP 19 Nov 1975 [27 March 1975] 47633/75 Heading B8H The fork assembly for a fork lift truck comprises a carriage 14 with a guide rail 20 on which forks 20 are slidably mounted and a cross-bar 22 with a plurality of apertures 24 in alignment with the guide rail 20 and U-shaped fork locating members 34 insertable through selected apertures 24 to straddle a fork and thereby laterally locate the fork. Each limb 38 of the member 34 has an annular groove 40 and a compressible resilient ring 42 located in the groove for frictional engagement with the walls of the selected aperture. In an alternative embodiment Fig. 4 (not shown) each aperture (24) has an annular groove (50) with a ring (42) located therein.
