Abstract

1478406 Television VEREINIGTE FLUGTECHNISCHE WERKE-FOKKER GmbH 16 Sept 1974 [17 Sept 1973] 40235/74 Heading H4F Reproduction of a terrain image which is line scanned by sensors, e.g. infra-red, visible light or radar sensors, of a remotely controlled aircraft is effected by transmitting the resulting image information signals to a control centre which includes an intermediate store from which the signals are fed to a display. The intermediate store and display may comprise an image storage tube. Alternatively the intermediate store may comprise core stores, disc or tape stores. The received image information signals may be fed to a further store for evaluation by means of a computer before display. The vehicle supplying the information may be represented by a symbol on the display. A plurality of displays may be provided for displaying images of the terrain from different angles of view or scales and/or for the representation of image contents differentiated with respect to frequency and colour, or for a perspective image. Information data and/or symbols may be added to the display together with the desired and actual flight paths.
