Abstract

1478166 Clamp NIFCO Inc 2 Dec 1974 [5 Dec 1973] 52003/74 Heading E2B An integral synthetic plastics device comprises a base portion 1, an anchor portion 2 which extends from the base portion 1, walls 3a which extend from the base portion 1 and are each provided with an engagement surface 3b, and a fitting-piece 4 which has lugs 4a, each of which having an engagement surface 4d for co-operating with the respective engagement surface 3b of the walls 3a and having a clamping recess 4c, has a web 4b which connects the lugs 4a, and has a pair of flexible supporting pieces 5 which connect to the walls 3a. In use an object B is placed in the web 4b and urged between the walls 3a to the position shown in Fig. 3 where the support pieces 5 are deformed, the engagement surfaces 3b of the walls 3a abut the respective engagement surfaces 4d of the fitting-piece 4, and the object B is clamped between the recesses 4c. Fig. 3 also shows the device mounted on a panel P and retained by the anchor-portion 2.
