Abstract

1477652 Rotary distributors DUCELLIER ET CIE 12 Sept 1974 [7 Nov 1973] 39746/74 Heading H1N A lead for an i.c. engine ignition distributor comprising a removable moulded insulating cap containing electrical conductors extending into the interior of the cap and terminated at their outer ends by sockets disposed in sleeves on the exterior of the cap, is characterized in that at least one socket is offset from its conductor and electrical connection is ensured between them by respective lips which have been caused to penetrate into each other by axial compression of the socket and conductor during moulding of the cap. The lips are formed as axially extending flanges coaxial with the respective socket and conductor. Several concentric flanges may be provided. Two of the conductors carry resiliently urged carbon brushes to engage a rotating rotor arm (not shown).
