1477533 Applying foam to fibres or sheets BAYER AG 20 May 1974 [22 May 1973] 04887/77 Divided out of 1477531 Heading D1L Apparatus for applying foam to fibres or sheets comprises a foam chamber 11 terminating in a slot 14, foam being generated at the lower end thereof by a glass frit 18 through which air is blown from inlet 16, liq. being supplied from an adjacent constant level reservoir 10 via inlet 17. A pair of foam chambers may be used to form a foam bridge through which the fibre or sheet 15 passes vertically.
