1477479 Motorcycles M G ARDEN 19 Nov 1974 [11 Dec 1973] 57855/73 Heading B7H A motorcycle having a chain driven rear wheel 14 rotatably mounted on an arm 17 pivoted to the gear-box 15 and connected by a resilient strut 18 to frame 12 comprises a chain drive sprocket 24, the axis of which is coincident with the pivot axis of the arm 17. The sprocket 24 is carried by an output shaft 21 which is the uppermost gear shaft of the gear-box. As illustrated the shaft 21 is hollow and accommodates a spindle 20 mounting the parts 17a, 17b of arm 17 on lugs 16 on the gear-box.
