Abstract

1476810 Coatings SAINT-GOBAIN INDUSTRIES 5 March 1975 [7 March 1974] 9146/75 Heading B2E [Also in Division Cl] The surface of a glass sheet is provided with a separating agent by depositing an aqueous solution of a solid compound (e.g. Na 2 SO 4 , K 2 SO 4 or NaHCO 3 ) onto the sheet and drying to form a layer of the compound and applying to the layer a dry powder which is insoluble in water (e.g. CaCO 3 , talc, mica or diatomaceous earth). The preferred compound is sodium sulphate and preferred powder is talc.
