Abstract

1476623 Fermenting tea F A HOPPER 16 May 1974 [23 May 1973] 24726/73 Heading A2B In tea fermenting apparatus of the kind described in Specification 1085525 the gas supply is controlled by temperature sensing devices 25 located in the gas exhaust chimneys 24, which operate valves 18 located in the gas supply lines. The space beneath the conveyor is divided into sub-sections 13 and an arm 23 attached to a moving baffle 21 operates the valves 15 controlling the gas supply to each sub-section 13. The hot exhaust gas may be recycled to a conveyor section nearer to the discharge end of the conveyor.
