1475654 Banknote dispensers GLORY KOGYO KK 12 Feb 1975 [3 July 1974] 5860/75 Heading G4X [Also in Division B8] Banknotes of various denominations are filed on edge in cases 11a-11d, Fig. 3, which are then placed on shelves with the largest banknotes in the lowest case and so on, each pile being spring-urged towards a separating means 3 at the rear. Each separating means comprises a plurality of separator rollers 12 (e.g. 12a, Figs. 3 and 4) having raised friction portions 28 (or roller segments, Figs. 10A and 10B, not shown), pivoted suction separators 15, and feed rollers 13, 14, Figs. 3, 4 and 8. A required number of banknotes is separated from some or all of the cases, starting at the bottom. A solenoid 20a moves a rotating drive machine 19a into operative position to rotate the rollers 12a, and a cam 30 causes the suction separators 15a to swing outwards about an axis P so as to bend the top of the front note into the vicinity of the rollers 13, 14, when the suction is released and the rollers 12a then move the note upwards between the rollers 13, 14. At this time a vertically slidable stacking device 4 is in its lowest position so that notes from the rollers 13, 14 of the case 11a are received on belts 47 and below a recessed roller 51 so as to be stacked from the bottom on a panel 55 and below a panel 56. The front of the stack abuts stops 60, Fig. 6, adjusted according to note size by means of stationary cams 63a-d on a post 62. The rear end of each note is continually kicked upwards by the roller 51 to avoid jamming. The device 4 is then raised to receive notes from each case in turn. Finally, the composite stack is raised by a cam 80 above the level of the belts and the stack is moved forwards over a panel 79 by pins 73 on chains 72 on to a support 6 for dispensing.
