Abstract

1475073 2-Guanidino dodecane salts RECKITT & COLMAN PRODUCTS Ltd 19 Aug 1974 [24 Aug 1973] 40137/73 Heading C2C 2-Guanidino dodecane phosphate (n-C 10 H 21 CH(CH 3 )NHC(NH)NH 2 ) 3 H 3 PO 4 , which is novel is prepared by (1) reacting 2- aminododecane with cyanamide in phosphoric acid, or (2) reacting 2-aminododecane with cyanamide in acetic acid and reacting the 2- guanidino dodecane acetate so produced with aqueous trisodium phosphate. A biocidal composition comprises as the active ingredient the above phosphate salt in admixture with a diluent or carrier.
