Abstract
1475056 Triazolobenzodiazepines E R SQUIBB & SONS Inc 27 Feb 1975 [4 March 1974(2)] 8248/75 Heading C2C Compounds of the general formula (R 1 = H, alkyl, phenyl, benzyl; R 2 = H, alkyl; R 3 = NH 2 , alkylamino, dialkylamino or A=CHQ, O, NQ; Q=H, alkyl, phenyl; m=0, 1; R 4 = H, halogen, NO 2 , CN, CF 3 , alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio; n = 2-4) and their acid addition salts are prepared by condensing a compound of the formula (R 1 = alkyl, phenyl, benzyl; R 5 = halogen, SH, alkoxy, alkylthio, phenylalkylthio; R 2 , 4 as defined above) with an alkyl carbazate followed by ring closure, reaction with a strong base, introduction of the 2-substituent by condensing the salt with R 3 (CH 2 ) n X (X=Cl, Br, I, alkylsulphonate, arylsulphonate) or HO(CH 2 ) n X followed by replacement of the hydroxy group by a leaving group and reaction of the product with R 3 H and, optionally, debenzylation and/or salt formation. The above compounds are anti-inflammatory agents, and may be administered in the form of pharmaceutical preparations containing them in association with a carrier.
