Abstract
1474897 Spit-roasting MOULINEX SA 22 Jan 1976 [23 Jan 1975] 02524/76 Heading A4D In an electrically heated roaster having a spit (20), mounted in a casing 10 so that it may be extended to a position out of the open front (12) of the casing Fig. 1, (not shown), and a removable drip-pan 22 having one edge (24) located in the bottom of the casing so that the drip-pan is positioned under the spit in its extended position, a switch 44 in the supply circuit to the electrical heating resistor 14 has an operating button 46 which extends into the interior of the casing 10 and is operated by a portion of the drip-pan that is within the casing. As shown, the switch is mounted in a box 50 positioned to one side of the roaster casing 10 and a bent arm 52 pivoted on a vertical pin 56 has a bent-up end providing the button 46. The drip-pan 22 is removably fitted to a frame (30) so that it constitutes a door (28) for the open front of the casing, the door frame (30) having slots (38) receiving pins (34) projecting inwards from the casing so that the door may be opened by pivoting it downwardly about its bottom edge, the door then being slidable in and out of the casing while in a horizontal position. Only when the door is in position to serve as the drippan and is pushed to the back of the casing is the button 46 moved by the door to act through a projection 64 on the blade 66 of the switch so that the supply circuit to the heating resistor is completed.
