Rotary washing and like machines. - Relates to an arrangement for draining liquids from rotating vessels in which substances are submitted to the action of one or more baths, and consists in providing the vessel 1 with a pipe 4 extending circumferentially for at least half the circumference of the vessel, the ends 6, 8 of the pipe communicating respectively with the interior and exterior of the vessel. The vessel normally rctates in the direction of the arrow, but, when it is reversed, liquid is withdrawn from the vessel. The tube may be arranged within the vessel. The invention is particularly applicable to the washing, dyeing, and tanning of leather in rotating casks.
